Donors, campaigns, volunteers and members in one nonprofit back-office

The back-office where your association or foundation keeps what today sits in five spreadsheets. A register of donors and organisations with a full history per supporter and GDPR consent recorded per channel. Donations are entered by your team, and numbered receipts and annual donation certificates are generated from the donor record (from the Plus plan). A register of recurring pledges shows the next due date and flags missed payments — nothing is collected automatically. Fundraising campaigns with a goal, a deadline, progress and a breakdown by source. A volunteer register with contracts, hours entered and validated by your team, and numbered certificates. Funded projects with budget lines, expenses and a reporting calendar (from Plus), and a member register with dues, arrears and the voting list for the general assembly. Alerts appear inside the application, and access is granted by role. Less time on spreadsheets, more time for your cause.

About 4ong

What is 4ong

4ong is a back-office for NGOs, associations and foundations, inside the panel. It keeps in one place contacts (people and organisations) with GDPR consent recorded per channel, donations and membership fees entered by your team, a register of recurring pledges, fundraising campaigns, sponsorship contracts, volunteers and their hours, members and dues, funded projects and in-app alerts. These are registers and calculations filled in by your team: 4ong takes no payments and sends no messages.

GDPR consent per channelNumbered receipts, no gapsRole-based access

What you can do with 4ong

With the 4ong platform you can:

Keep contacts (people and organisations) with GDPR consent per channel — e-mail, SMS, phone, post — plus history, tags and CSV import with duplicate detection.
Record donations, membership fees and sponsorships entered by hand, and issue numbered receipts and an annual donation certificate per donor (Plus plan and up).
Keep a register of recurring pledges: amount, frequency, next due date and missed payments. Nothing is collected automatically.
Keep the Formular 230 register (a Romanian income-tax redirect, relevant only if you raise funds in Romania): validated and encrypted ID number, deadline countdown and CSV export.
Run fundraising campaigns with a goal, a deadline, progress and the net result by source, and keep numbered sponsorship contracts with instalments and benefits.
Manage volunteers: a numbered register, a contract with a task sheet, hours entered by the organisation and validated, and a numbered volunteer certificate.
Keep the member register with dues, arrears and a voting list for the general assembly, and track funded projects: budget lines, expenses with a document reference and a reporting calendar (Plus plan and up).

Pros and cons

✓Pros

  • One place for contacts, donors, volunteers, members and projects — instead of five spreadsheets kept by five people.
  • Receipts and annual donation certificates are generated from the donation record and numbered without gaps (Plus plan and up).
  • GDPR consent is recorded per channel with history, and a person can be anonymised on request.
  • Donations are never deleted, only cancelled, so the register keeps a complete history.
  • No volunteer assignment or hours without an active contract, and minors need guardian consent; certificates come from validated hours.
  • Access by role and section, so the board can read reports without being able to edit the data.
  • In-app alerts calculated from your data: overdue dues, missed pledges, reporting deadlines, volunteers without a contract.

!Cons

  • Printable documents (receipts, certificates, volunteer contracts) and the legal modules follow Romanian law and are in Romanian for now; check what your own rules require with your accountant.
  • It is a register, not accounting software: no double-entry books and no filings with the tax authority. Exports are limited to CSV files and printable documents.
  • It takes no payments and sends no messages: donations and dues are entered by hand, there are no online donation pages, and recurring pledges are only a register.
  • Limits depend on the plan (users, contacts, campaigns, active volunteers, open projects); receipts, the recurring register and projects start at Plus, and LYBUNT/SYBUNT reports at Pro.

How it works (3 steps)

  1. 1

Import contacts and give the team access

Upload your contacts as a CSV file (dry run first, duplicate detection, up to 1,000 rows per request), then give team members access by role.

  2. 2

Set up campaigns, projects and member categories

Define campaigns with a goal and deadline, member categories with their dues and, on Plus and up, projects with budget lines.

  3. 3

The team enters the data; registers and alerts are calculated

Donations, dues, volunteer hours and expenses are entered as they happen. 4ong numbers the receipts, calculates arrears and due dates, shows alerts in the app and produces the income and top-donor reports.

Frequently asked questions about 4ong

What is 4ong?
4ong is a back-office for NGOs, associations and foundations: contacts with GDPR consent per channel, donations entered by hand, a register of recurring pledges, fundraising campaigns, volunteers, members with dues and funded projects, all in one place.
What kind of organisations is 4ong for?
Charities, associations and foundations, federations, humanitarian and environmental organisations and sports clubs — any organisation managing donors, volunteers, members or funded projects.
Does 4ong take online payments or send messages?
No. 4ong takes no payments, has no online donation pages and sends no e-mail, SMS or WhatsApp. Donations and dues are entered by your team, and alerts are shown only inside the app.
Can recurring gifts be tracked?
Yes, as a register (Plus plan and up). Each pledge has an amount, a frequency and a next due date, and missed payments are flagged. Nothing is collected automatically: there is no direct debit and no card charge.
How are volunteer hours recorded?
The organisation enters the hours (volunteers do not log their own) and they are then validated. Assignments and hours need an active contract, and minors need guardian consent. A numbered volunteer certificate is issued from the validated hours.
Does 4ong replace accounting software?
No. 4ong keeps operational registers and no double-entry books. The exports are CSV files and printable documents; there is no automatic export to accounting software.
Can I report to funders directly from the platform?
Partly. A project holds the budget per line, expenses with a document reference (text or link, no file upload) and a calendar of reporting deadlines (Plus plan and up). You write the narrative and the financial report yourself; 4ong does not produce a ready-to-send funder report.
How is sensitive data protected?
GDPR consent is recorded per channel with history, a person can be anonymised on request, and access is granted by role and section, so each team member sees only the data they need.
